Yoel Alter, LCSW
Yoel Alter, LCSW is a clinical social worker practicing individual and couples counseling. Sheindy Goldberger, LMSW
Sheindy Goldberger, LMSW, graduated magna cum laude with a BA in psychology from Touro College, and an MSW from Hunter College (Silberman School of Social Work). She has had experiences in various clinical settings, including a partial hospitalization program and mental health clinics. Her style is warm and empathic; her therapeutic approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (CBT and DBT), having been trained to treat adults, adolescents and children. Sonny Cohen, LMSW
Rabbi Sonny Cohen, LMSW, is a licensed Social Worker who treats adults, adolescents, and children at his Brooklyn office. He specializes in treating anxiety, OCD, and low self-esteem. Sonny received advanced training in CBT for anxiety from the Beck Institute, in IFS from the Cape Cod Institute, and supervision in Exposure Response Prevention from Dr. Elna Yadin, of University of Pennsylvania.
Sonny’s clinical experiences include work at Evolve—a substance abuse outpatient clinic for teens, The Jewish Board, and Sephardic Bikur Holim. He has also co-facilitated numerous groups for teens struggling with different mental health issues. He presently leads social-skills groups for elementary-aged children.
