Dr. Chaim Neuhoff, Ph.D.
Chaim Neuhoff PhD is a clinical psychologist based in Brooklyn, New York who specializes in working with mood and behavioral issues of children, adolescents, and young adults. He has extensive training in treating clients presenting with challenges in anxiety, disruptive behavior, social skills related challenges (ASD spectrum), as well divorce related struggles. Dr. Neuhoff serves as part-time Psychologist for Gesher Yehuda school, a community school for children with various learning disabilities. He also supervises advanced doctoral students at Ferkauf Graduate School (Yeshiva University) and writes a weekly mental health column for the Yated Neeman newspaper.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, Dr. Neuhoff specializes in short-term consultations to school systems as well as families. This involves meeting with the relevant parties to thoroughly assess and provide recommendations. Aside from his comprehensive knowledge on mental health related issues, Dr. Neuhoff has a strong knowledge base of community systems that he draws on when providing comprehensive and practical recommendations to clients.
After completing his Psychology internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Neuhoff served as Clinical Instructor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine from 2007–2012. He has also addressed several National Conventions including the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (ABCT), The International Network of Orthodox Mental Health Professionals (Nefesh), The National Society for Hebrew Day Schools (Torah Umesorah), and Agudath Israel of America.
Dr. Yosef Posy, Psy.D.
Dr Yosef Posy Psy.D is a NYS licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of disruptive behavior and anxiety disorders. He has advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral tech Inc. which is a cutting edge therapy shown to help people suffering from emotional dysregulation. He is currently accepting individual DBT clients and will run a male-only DBT skills group. Dr Posy also has experience running social skills/ anger management groups together with Dr Chaim Neuhoff.
Dr Posy is the director of children’s services at Interborough Developmental & Consultation Center, where he provides staff training on the use of CBT and DBT to staff in 4 sites. He has done staff trainings and presentations in several schools in Brooklyn, and has consulted with many yeshivas. Dr Posy received his doctoral training from Hofstra University and has private practices in Boro Park and Flatbush.
Dr. Feigie Russ, Psy.D.
Dr Feigie Russ Psy.D. is a NYS licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, teenagers and adults who suffer from anxiety, OCD, social skills and low self confidence. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to combat cognitive distortions (maladaptive thinking patterns) and uses cognitive reframing techniques to help clients develop coping thoughts and coping strategies.
Dr. Russ received her doctoral training from Hofstra university and has a private practice in Brooklyn NY. She has created a social skills DVD ‘Social Smarts: making and keeping friends’ for children with social skills difficulties. She has also conducted numerous social skills groups and parenting groups.
